I run a mailing list that keeps getting me tagged as SPAM

Unfortunately, that is part of the problem with mailing lists.

There are a few things that you can do.

Always ensure your members are OPT-IN.
Always ensure your members can plainly see options to remove themselves (and you should always act on those requests quickly)
Ensure your email list software complies with best practices for BULK correspondence. More and more mail services (GMail, Yahoo, etc..) are automatically blocking mail destined to them which do not comply with the relevant RFC and IETF recommendations, which results in your email being tagged as SPAM.
