What is my gateway address for additional IPs added to my server?

The gateway you need to use in your dedicated machine for additional IPs should not be the IP of your dedicated server or the additional IP added to your serve. You must use the gateway for your dedicated server.
You must in no case use: route add default gw dev eth0 otherwise you may cut off your IP.
To determine the correct gateway to use:
Main IP of your dedicated server: XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX
So the IP of the gateway for your virtual machine : XXX.XXX.XXX.254
The gateway will always be the Main IP of your server, with the last section replaced by '254'
